Wacky Fun Weekend

Mid May in Tulsa was packed with fun things to do. With 20 or so straight days of rain, all of Tulsa was ready to be outdoors. Friday night we enjoyed a fun walk around Mayfest and the Blue Dome festival. We found Jackie's birthday gift from one of the wooden toy vendors. We enjoyed dinner in the Blue Dome district at a funky little spot called Dilly Deli. All of us enjoyed our sandwiches and definitely want to go back. It was relaxed, open and kid friendly. We quarantined the girls in a little section in the corner with couches, tables and kid toys and games. The other key to this little spot is the beer offering. That helped reel us in for sure after a busy week at work.
Here is Jackie's friend Amara. She's the happiest kiddo around. The girls were feeding each other a turkey and cheese sandwich Friday night. So funny!!
This crazy sight was one of our weekend highlights. Saturday morning, after a short trip to the Farmer's Market, we went to the 15th Street Coffee shop and it was a stop for the Art Car parade. We saw some creative, crazy and intricately created art cars.
I heard a little boy say about this van, "Dad, it's the ultimate hippy van."

This was a dental theme. There were real pulled teeth on the windows!
I don't know how they did this, but it was cool! Parked in front of my grade school, Marquette. Go Meteors!!
