The Gals

At least once a day, Jackie holds out her hands and says, "Let me hold Baby Eleanor" or multiple times we hear, "Can I give her a kiss?"

This pair is just fun to watch. Jackie is so gentle and sweet with her sister, much more than I expected. She is very proud of her and makes sure that anyone we run into knows that she has a sister and to take a look.

We've kept Jackie home from school a lot this summer, enjoying as much time home as a family as we can. She really enjoys chalk drawing outside when it's not too hot and is really into her water colors indoors. I think the red boots add some drama and inspire her work. :-)

Sweet Ellie

Our sweet baby girl...

She makes the sweetest noises a baby could make. Is a wonderful snuggler and super strong these days. We are counting down the days to her baptism. We love you baby Ellie, who is 8 weeks old in 40 minutes. My how time flies when you are having fun and busy helping you grow!

Tough girl

This photo of Jackie's shiner just cracks me up....

Future Refs?

Jackie - 2 weeks old or so..

Ellie - 4 weeks old aprox.

Obviously, this is a normal newborn sleep habit, but when when we were new parents we thought it was so funny to see Jackie sleep like this. Here is Baby Ellie doing the same thing.

Tonight, Colin and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. What a blessing it was to marry my beloved. He's the perfect partner for me, makes me laugh daily, and is a better father than I ever could have imagined. I love you Darlin (pronounced Dah-lin) and can't wait to see what the next 50 years bring. We've got the right recipe when it comes to kiddos, don't ya think? I love you.

Celebrating Jackie's 2nd Birthday (a little late)

So, one unique thing about our girls is the fact that they were both born June 4th, 2 years apart. We were pretty lucky that Jackie is just now 2 and didn't really think anything of her party being pushed back a week or spending her birthday away from Mommy and Daddy and at the hospital visiting her new sister.

She had a great party with family and friends. I think she really loved all of the attention, unlike last year when she cried when everyone sang happy birthday to her.

This was the "Wow!" gift of the year from her sweet Uncle Canon and Aunt Anne. The party was a "perfectly pink" party theme and I must say it came together really well considering we were just getting used to another family member.

After the exitement, Jackie aquired this shiner. She took it like a champ, but Colin and I were pretty frazzled. It is no fun to see your little one get hurt.
