I couldn't resist...

Just had to get a tutu at the jbf sale. Even this tom-boy mom had to say yes to the tutu!!

Old Friends, New Babies

This past weekend was one of those times in your life that you wonder if the stars will align ever just right like that again. Three of my out of town best high school friends and their precious babies were in Tulsa the same weekend. It was so great to see them and to celebrate two of these gorgeous gals 1st birthdays.

One of Lucy's many birthday cakes (what can I say? She's a loved gal!) Check out that skirt - to die for cute and so Lucy!!

Big surprise here - Sarah placing a pink bow on Jackie's head. I promise, I do try putting little bows in Jackie's hair, but they mysteriously get yanked out immediately. Jackie has a great time at the party.

Here are the 4 kids (All birthdays within 4 months of each other). The 2 August birthday girls are on the right. Aren't they cute?? It's pretty fitting that the three girls are into the baby doll and the boy is focused on his sandwich. :-)

It was good to be together and see our kids together.

Thanks Caroline for sharing your photos! They turned out great!!

"Scary" New World

This little girl is moving on to bigger (and probably better) things, starting Monday. She's leaving the infant cradle room and moving to a toddler room.

She's going to fine - Me... not so much.

I've shed more tears this week than I have in a long time. It's crazy - I didn't think it would hit me like this. We have so loved her sweet teacher, Miss Meredith, and I'm not ready to leave her. She's the best!!

But, we took Jackie to her new "scary" room with all of the "scary" big girl toys. She had a ball. They have a really neat activity room right next door with a fabuously "scary" slide. She was running all over the place and exploring new little "scary" doors with new "scary" activities inside. And her new "scary" smiling teacher was there to answer any of our "scary" questions with her helpful and "scary" answers.

Colin was teasing me saying, "What are you going to do when she is in high school and has a new teacher every hour of the day?" We'll see when we get there, I guess. But, I think our little Miss Jackie will thrive just like she does each day - she's a tough cookie. Maybe I'll learn a few pointers from her.

Working Mom Out of a Job

I love Jackie in this cute tennis dress. She's showing signs of a girly girl (we'll see...). She's obsessed with her shoes, likes to watch mom put on make-up (and brush her face with the soft brushes) and brush her hair.

Jackie's taken it upon herself to read the camera manual (something I need to do). Not to mention, in the buff.

She's getting good at helping Mommy clean up. She's been known to pick up her toys (rarely), sweep and swiffer. I stole the idea from the Nuses (thanks for the cute swiffer post, didn't realize you could shrink the swiffer pole!).

Gramma Marty Visit!

Jackie and Gramma Marty had a whole week for play, play and more play. Jackie and her Gramma created their own new games, discovered belly buttons, read new books and old books, tasted Gramma's cooking and even snuggled before naps. It was a great visit for all, especially these two gals.
